So in case you didn’t know, next time I click the old ‘Upload’ button on this here blog Dashboard, it will be the 100th post on A Guide To Geekdom!
Since putting my very first article live last November I’ve covered everything from Thought Bubble Festival to the TESD-related Cryptozoic Man; from Geek Is to Gaming.
I started writing a geek culture blog because I wanted to keep up with the latest news and thoughts from the worldwide geek community, while making myself some new geeky friends in the process. I’m happy to say that I feel I’ve already achieved this after only eight months, and as such cannot wait to see what the next 100 blog posts bring.
So in the spirit of sharing the love, here’s where you come in, new geeky friends: I want to know what makes you nerds tick, so I’m asking you a question:
What is your favourite thing about being a geek?
It could be the unbearable wait between Star Wars sequels, or getting your hands on a new issue. Hell, it could even be the hilariously inaccurate way in which geeks are portrayed on TV; I’ve seen enough episodes of The Big Bang Theory and Comic Book Men to know that somebody out there is getting it way wrong!
So tell me, readers, in celebration of the 100th post here on A Guide To Geekdom, just what it is that you love the most about geek culture – and I’ll have the best answers up here on my blog!
All you need to do is:
– Tweet me using the hashtag #AG2G100
– or leave a message on The Guide’s Facebook page
– or even Google+ if you’re that way inclined.
So get to it folks – you’ll be helping me out in a huge way as I find out more about all my adoring fans. (Pfft).
